The Pet Training Scat Mat uses a persuasive, but completely harmless, static pulse to keep your pet from shedding, scratching, or doing their business where you don't want them to. Scat Mats can be used on furniture, countertops, doorways and even window sills. This Pet Training Scat Mat size is ideal for protecting couches and longer stretches of counters. A few exposures usually do the trick. Use Scat Mats, Extension Mats and our Dummy Mats to tell your pets "No !" even when your not home!

Set up the batteries:

1. Remove the battery cover by pressing down on the arrow and sliding it forward.

2. Install 3 pcs useful 1.5V AAA batteries.

3. Lay the SHOCK MAT down with the battery box facing up.

4. Pressing the power switch for about 3 seconds can turn on or off the unit. The power indicator light will be yellow when the unit is on, or it will remain off.

5. When the unit is on, pressing the switch shortly can choose the strength of static pulses (L/M/H).

6. You are now ready to test your SHOCK MAT.

Test the SHOCK MAT:

1. Press the power switch for about 3 seconds until the power indicator keeps lighting.

2. Touch the SHOCK MAT with the side of your hand, rather than your sensitive fingertips, to test its operation.

3. Once the SHOCK MAT senses your touch, its action indicator light flashes with BB sound, and sends static pulses to the SHOCK MAT for 3 seconds, you will feel the pulses if you leave your hand touching across 2 wires.

4. If only the pet step on the SHOCK MAT, touch the wire with its legs, will cause the static pulses.

Positioning the SHOCK MAT:

Positioning it on the Sofas, Beds, Mats, Kitchen Counters and other Furnitures you want to protech.

Training Tips:

Use the appropriate strength of static pulses for your pet:

Low: Kittens

Medium: Short-haired cats and small dogs

Long-haired cats, large dogs and doorways training.
